Bottom-placed African Lyon and JKT Ruvu will be in action in the tension-packed encounter at the Chamazi Stadium in Dar es Salaam this afternoon to wind up their 24th round Mainland premiership return leg tie.

The match is highly crucial for either side as the battle to avoid relegation has intensified among teams floating on the drop off zone.

JKT Ruvu are enduring a torrid and turbulent season and are nervous as they have never been in such a situation ever since joining the top flight berth. The army side kicks off today’s match with a slight advantage having 22 points to their collection after 23 appearances in the league.

However, Lyon who are bottom placed will be taking the game as highly crucial so as to move into safe horizon of the standings table.

Glued at 19 points, Lyon have in the past being trapped in similar situations and survived with last-gasp miraculous efforts.

The army team had their performance in highly dismal fashion throughout the season with 3-0 demolition at the hands of champions to be Yanga still lingering in their memories.

Lyon are the match's hosts though both teems use the Chamazi Stadium as their home ground.
The match is expected to be a thriller basing on the alarm bell that has been ringing for either side in connection with relegation hook.

The Mainland premiership season is coming to the end by mid next month and these last matches from the fixture are highly important particularly for teams eyeing the title and those gazing at the relegation pool.

Lyon and two other teams of Toto Africa and Police Morogoro are both sharing 19 points and experience similar tension to win survival bid.

Though Lyon had the most lacklustre show for the season, JKT Ruvu also have lost the benefit of doubt as a side that can still float in the premiership fleet. Next season
Veteran football technician Hamisi Kisiwa will be the commissioner while Hashim Abdallah, Omari Kambangwa, Abdallah Selega and Said Ndegewote are officials of the match.

The encounter is delicate as it needs impartial decisions regarding its sensitivity.
JKT Ruvu know what it takes to win the tie having posted six wins for the season so far as contrasted to five of their hosts.
